Radiant Cut Diamonds
The Radiant cut diamond was perfected by master diamond cutter Henry Grossbard in 1977. It has a square or rectangular shape that combines the brilliance of the round cut diamond with the elegance of the emerald. It uses a total of 70 facet to maximise the effect of its colour refraction and bring out the diamond’s sparkle. Its shape tends to give the wearer the illusion of smaller fingers, making it ideal for those who wish to create this shortened effect. The element that differentiates the Radiant cut from the Princess cut is the trimmed corners. The trimming helps protect the diamond from accidental chipping of the corners.
